Please be noted that Taiwan National Team Match will be coming on the corner!
The first competition date will be scheduling on Jan 24 (Sunday).

Location of national team match: Jan 24, 2010 was pre-arranged at NTU (National Taiwan University) accordingly. For the rest of dates will be notified accordingly.
Heat Schedules : 1/24 (Taipei) ; 1/31 (Kaousiung) ; 2/6 (Taichung) ; 2/21 ( Non-constituency )
Semi-finals: 2/27-28 ; 3/6-7 ( 4 days in total)
Finals: 4/10,11 & 17,18 (4 days in total)

Blitz mini was over today! Here comes the result and review…

We had a great day today.
However, we also need to look at the areas we maybe need to imporve and make it better arrangement for next time.
Of course, we were also proud of ourselves. Please find below as of our result and review to respectable Professor Liu and parents participated today.

首先謝謝各位家長及裁判班同學.
大家百忙中抽空來支援今天的比賽! 熱心家長貢獻時間和專業, 我們的比賽才得以進行順利.
在這裡向大家說謝謝, 雖然總共 38 人參加; 另有三位小朋友來參觀” 未參加比賽. 雖然規模不大, 加上許多其他家長今天俱樂部很熱鬧喔!

其中最要提出的是楊會長帶台中學生和幼安爸爸帶雙胞胎從東勢上台北來參與我們的小比賽, 真令人感動!!! 謝謝二位的參與. 將來台中辦比賽我們也去支援.
Mike 也帶 5 位學生來參賽 ; 何浩明也來支援 , 其他大半都是岳老師的學生…真是謝謝.
不過……沒想到 Austin 和 幼安得到第一名 及女子冠軍 , 讓我覺得台中根本是來踢館 !!!
哈哈, 大家知道我喜歡開玩笑 … 好消息是楊會長 2010 也要開辦俱樂部! 加油!

我們大家加油, 2010 年是否可以有個俱樂部百人賽! 這是我 2010 的目標之一. 請大家支持…其他計畫, 比如我們俱樂部目前的經營在沒有積極招生中穩定提高知名度 ; 但為顧及分級訓練的理想, 及在 2010 也應該有新活動 , 我最近會先計畫再與家長們開會商討改善. 此外, 向各位說明: 我今天有暗中物色未來可加入我們行列的家長喔…(總共有三位)

特別說明一: 家長疑慮
本次 Blitz 比賽其實是 2009 年, 計畫中的迷你賽事之一: 我們總共舉辦了 elimination(淘汰賽) , Blitz and classic.
目的在讓棋手 “經驗” 所有主要形態比賽. 這是我在 2009 年第一次比賽時就和岳老師設定的目標.
我本身並不特別鼓勵棋手下快棋 . 所以也不計畫多辦這纇型比賽.
為減低家長疑慮我會在下星期一先發我們俱樂部自己的電子報時溝通幾件事. 這是其中一項, 先和各位說明.
並在近期內溝通 2010 俱樂部計畫.

特別說明二: 學習方面
今天的比賽其實狀況很多, 共 15 Rounds. 一般比賽不會出現的情況都出現了 ; 幸好我們才剛上完裁判總複習班 , 恰好可以應付今天複雜的情形, 一邊可以顯示我們的專業 , 一邊也比較能說服家長和棋手的提問!!!
比如黑方剩 King , Knight ; 白剩孤王但時間先到, 家長和棋手都想知道如何判定輸贏或其他? 後來有 1 round 也出現相反局面. 許多許多狀況, 許多討論 , 算是馬上給裁判一個新考驗. 我個人覺得裁判比棋手學習的還更多. 當然棋手也學到許多: 比如遇到狀況如何為自己爭取權益? 如何臨危不亂與對手和裁判溝通? 如何知道自己或對手違規了?

總而言之, 我們今天算小小開心…

Blitz mini tournament in NTU chess club on Dec 20, for the first time!

Dear all,

We would like to have first time Blitz tourney on coming Sunday, Dec 20, from 1:30pm – 4:30 pm.

Not to encourage chess players to play Blitz before they are master! Well, it maybe a myth to move on to be a chess master, lots of parents debate for it! We wish young players can play as slow as possible, however, it’s also ential to make our players know every kind of competition in the world! Blitz is also kind of chess professionalism.

The tourney will be still on accordingly. The rules are as below: in Chinese
超快棋比賽: 歡迎大小朋友踴躍參加
我們在 2009 舉辦其他類型比賽及這次超快棋, 我們的目的在讓棋手學習各種比賽的規則並以棋會友.
主辦單位: 台大西洋棋俱樂部
比賽時間: 98 年 12 月 20 日 (星期日) 下午 2:00 至 4: 30
比賽地點: 台大體育舘文康中心
比賽方式: 採用瑞士制 15 輪 (每人五分鐘不加秒)
比賽規則: 1.不允許犯規, 2’如經對方提出對手犯規則判 輸, 3.若棋子碰倒隨即扶正再按鐘不算犯規 , 4.若棋子碰倒不立即
扶正按鐘,經對方提出則犯規判輸

2009 Arbiter Training ended up on Dec 6 and Nov 29.

Dear all,
To expedite the chess professionalism development in terms of educational and practical perspectives, Professor Liu, with Grade B international arbiter license, who has conducted the only one offical training on Nov 29 and Dec 6.
During the training, all 10 participating trainees were went through lecture of “LAW of CHESS” and the subject practical training.

Note:
For record purpose, there were 10 trainees as below listed:
Dina, 舒涵’s Dad, Nika, Joe and Wawu ( left hand side from front pic)
Celia, Debbie, Professor Liu (our TRAINER) , Paul and Mike.
